CASE STUDY

Website Redesign

Community & Family Services Division of Black Hills Special Services Cooperative

A modern, accessible site to connect families, educators, and community partners with CFS’s services.

My Role
Led strategy, content, and launch for a complete site overhaul, from UX structure to messaging to campaign execution.

The Challenge

The division’s single-page site was outdated, disorganized, and hard to maintain. It didn’t reflect the scope of work or serve its diverse audience of families, educators, partners, and staff. The goal was to build a modern, scalable hub that supported program needs and improved user experience.

My Role

Strategy & Planning Mapped audience journeys, structured site navigation, and aligned content with program goals.

Content Development Wrote and edited all copy for clarity, tone, and accessibility.

Collaboration Coordinated with six internal teams and leadership to manage feedback loops.

Launch Execution Led campaign across email, social, and internal channels, created launch toolkit, and set up maintenance workflows.

The Outcome

  • Launched responsive, brand-aligned site on time and on budget
  • Consolidated 12+ programs into a clear structure
  • Improved SEO across all pages
  • Reduced maintenance time for staff

Additional Impact

This project enhanced cross-team collaboration, reduced marketing bottlenecks, and increased program visibility, especially for key initiatives
